More Information:

George grew up in Western PA, raised in a religious Roman Catholic family.  He attended a hospital school to become a Radiologic Technologist.  While attending Geneva College, he met his wife Jane and they were married in July 1972(they have 4 adult children and 6 grandchildren).  They were living in central New Jersey and attended several Orthodox Presbyterian Churches.  Jane already was a believer, but George was not.  While reading the Bible for himself, in November 1972, he realized his need of the Savior and prayed to call on Christ.  Within a few months he expressed an interest in missions and the local church sent him to Urbana 73.

At the Urbana conference, he learned about the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago.  He enrolled there in 1975 and they moved to Chicago.  He finished his B.A. degree in Pastoral Studies, with a Greek emphasis in 1978.  While attending MBI, George was introduced to preaching, including open air preaching with Open Air Campaigners.  He was also introduced to teaching Bible studies, one on one evangelism and nursing home ministry.  While in Chicago, he worked at Edgewater Hospital in radiology, and then as a counsellor at the Pacific Garden Mission.

In 1980 they moved to downstate Illinois, where George served as an intern pastor of an OPC church plant.  He also worked in radiology at a trauma  center in Champaign, IL.

In 1986, they moved to Philadelphia so George could study for two years at Westminster Theological Seminary, studying urban missions.  From 1986-2015, he worked in radiology at the Episcopal campus of the Temple University Health System.  He also was a counsellor at the Whosoever Gospel Mission from 2009-14.

George is a member of New Life Presbyterian Church Philadelphia (PCA).  He served as a deacon from 1988 to 1999, and has taught Sunday school, preached and led the Evangelism Explosion training.  George leads a Revival Prayer meeting on Sunday mornings.  Both George and Jane are certified Missionary Teacher Trainers with Evangelism Explosion.  Jane is the administrative assistant for the church’s after school program.

George has worked closely with Mark and Karen Grasso in evangelism, training and Impact weeks around Philadelphia and other churches.  Currently they are working to plant a new church in the small suburb of Yeadon, PA.  This church plant is called CHRIST CHURCH YEADON.  George serves as a Preaching Elder, and preaches about 3 times a month.

George was ordained as an Evangelist through a ministry organization, 2 Timothy 45 in 2006.  He often joins a team of men to do open air preaching and literature distribution in various locations around the city.  George has written some of his own tracts.

George has studied acting at Walnut Street Theatre from 1990-94.  He is member of the acting union, SAGAFTRA.  For many years he performed with a Christian group, MereBreath.  George is also the author and performer of three oral interpretation stories, “the GOOD NEWS from MARK”, “the GOOD NEWS of the NATIVITY”, and “the GOOD NEWS of the MOUNTAINTOP SERMON.”

George has extensive preaching experience and is available for pulpits, retreats and outreaches.  He has written a Gospel centered course, called “DEALING WITH TEMPTATION,” which he is available to teach.
