March 2007 Update:

The LORD is gracious and our numbers continue to

increase here at our Good News Club. What was our highest number for the last year (35) is now our average attendance! Amazing. And yet we know it's not about numbers... but it's wonderful to know that so many kids are hearing the good news of the gospel and are learning about Godly attributes right now.

We wrap up our attributes series in 3 more weeks. Two weeks from now will be our Easter party. We sure do pack a lot into an hour and 10 minutes!

I was able to meet with 2 other GNC teachers from the county above ours. They were getting a bit discouraged, and it was good to share back and forth the things that God is doing and about His faithfulness to both our clubs. We gave their club 2 shirts from our club -- and we hope that lets the kids there know that it's more than just them in this.

It was a blessing to get to speak at a recent CEF seminar. I shared about things that we are doing that are working thru our GNC time with the kids. They had lots of questions, I gave out lots of magnets & Window clings (leftovers from our weekly clubs -- saved for such occasions!), and hope that the LORD will use the time there for His glory. I also was able to sit in on some of the leadership workshops, which was a good learning time for me.

A Teach Children Effectively (TCE) 2 class was held here in King County recently. That's only the 2nd one since we moved here, I think. I got to teach one class and sit on their practicums. It was a good reminder to me on how to encourage kids to be witnesses.

One of my GNC teachers was able to talk with a Moms in Touch group recently about starting a GNC at their school. God is working!

Once again, I have the opportunity of writing the VBS curriculum for our church's program this summer. That is starting to take up more time and really should! I am on the leadership team for this, as well. We expect 1200 plus kids this summer. I love that time and love to see the kids wrapped up in the things of God and in hearing of His ways and about Him. This year it's the character of God as seen thru Moses.
